About Our Temple

Experience the history, culture, and devotion behind our sacred place of worship.

Our History

Nestled in the town of Navsari, Rahu Navgrah Devta Mandir has become a prominent spiritual landmark over the past several decades. While not centuries old, its emergence as a dedicated shrine to Rahu Dev marks it as a unique and rare temple in India. The temple was envisioned and built through the devotion of local community leaders and spiritual seekers who understood the astrological importance of Rahu among the Navgrahas (nine planetary deities). Over the years, the temple has grown in stature, attracting devotees seeking peace, protection, and spiritual guidance.

Our Heritage

The Rahu Navgrah Devta Mandir stands as a beacon of spiritual significance in Navsari. Devotees from various regions visit to perform rituals and seek relief from the adverse effects of Rahu in their astrological charts. The temple's architecture reflects traditional Hindu styles, and its tranquil surroundings make it an ideal place for meditation and prayer.

Temple Architecture

The temple architecture blends modern durability with traditional Hindu aesthetics. At its heart is the sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha) housing the idol of Rahu Dev, uniquely styled with serpent iconography and symbolic planetary motifs. The mandir features carved stone gateways, engraved ceilings with zodiac symbols, and a peaceful courtyard. The surroundings are adorned with Navgraha yantras, each representing one of the planetary deities.
